Happy Sunday! I hope you and your families are safe and healthy!
So, today I am going to be giving you a quick crash course on ballet history.
Ballet was first invented for a royal italian wedding. The dancers represented types of food that were laid on the tables. Like, imagine a “watermelon dance” or a “ tomato dance”. Ballet was boosted up in France in the 1700’s when King Louis XIV (the 14th) appeared on stage as a ballet dancer. He founded the Paris Opera Ballet from an old, abandoned tennis court. The king’s teacher was a man named Pierre Beauchamp who in 1671 became the first director of the first ballet school. Beauchamp invented the five positions of the feet.

That was a small intro for you. Now I am going to explain why I created Ballet: Behind the Scenes.
Ballet: Behind the Scenes was created to show what dancers go through before, after, and during the performances. When you see a dancer on stage you think wow she is so beautiful how does she do it? But, behind the beauty there is so much more! I am going to be interviewing dancers, choreographers, costume designers, producers, stage crew, and others about their experiences before, after, and during show’s.
Truly yours,

Kommentare
